POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible to manage all the inbound, outbound shipment and coordinate with logistics team to fulfill production orders and meet customer demand in a timely manner. Independence and quick thinking of decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work closely with Planner or Customer Advocate to prepare the shipment according to ship plan.
Coordinate and work closely with 3PL Logistics team to identify goods assigned based on inventory available.
Generate Delivery Note, Commercial Invoice and Packing List and other shipping related documents.
Understand shipping instruction given for each order request in system.
Coordinate cargo pick up arrangement with various or selected freight carrier/forwarders based on the incoterm and keep track of shipments movement.
Understand each customer requirement and Customs compliance for Export/Import and Bonded shipment.
Work with 3PL Logistics team to ensure the correct item is picked based on pull order request.
Monitor and ensure the materials are packed and shipped as per schedule.
Investigate and/or fix any problem arising with respective parties either shipment or Warehouse issue.
Collect and record the data for KPI report.
Keep and file all the shipping related documents properly for audit purposes.
Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Location: alternate work locations of external logistics (Bayan Lepas or Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat).
Work in standard office environment and use office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine etc.).
Works under limited supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Good knowledge in SAP, Logistics/Warehousing and Customs compliance.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay.
Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Prefer a strong personality with a dedicated, independent person and teamwork.
EXPERIENCE :
Minimum three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain (Logistics/Warehouse).
Experience in Logistics/Shipping/Warehouse is an added advantage.
Able to rectify Customs related issues.
Understanding of HTS code item classification.
Understanding of Freight Incoterms.
Able to run the SAP & KPI report any time upon request.
EDUCATION :
High school education or a combination of relevant experience and/or education that is equivalent to a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree.
