Responsible for managing all inbound and outbound shipments and coordinating with the logistics team to fulfill production orders and meet customer demand in a timely manner. Independence and quick thinking in decision-making are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the Planner or Customer Advocate to prepare the shipment according to the ship plan.
Coordinate and work closely with the 3PL Logistics team to identify goods assigned based on inventory available.
Generate Delivery Notes, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and other shipping-related documents.
Understand shipping instructions given for each order request in the system.
Coordinate cargo pick-up arrangements with various or selected freight carriers/forwarders based on the incoterm and keep track of shipment movements.
Understand each customer requirement and Customs compliance for Export/Import and Bonded shipments.
Work with the 3PL Logistics team to ensure the correct items are picked based on pull order requests.
Monitor and ensure that materials are packed and shipped as per schedule.
Investigate and/or fix any problems that arise with respective parties, either shipment or warehouse issues.
Collect and record data for KPI reports.
Keep and file all shipping-related documents properly for audit purposes.
Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Location: alternate work locations of external logistics (Bayan Lepas or Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat).
Work in a standard office environment and use office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Good knowledge in SAP, Logistics/Warehousing, and Customs compliance.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Prefer a strong personality with a dedicated, independent attitude and teamwork skills.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain (Logistics/Warehouse).
Experience in Logistics/Shipping/Warehouse is an added advantage.
Able to rectify Customs-related issues.
Understanding of HTS code item classification.
Understanding of Freight Incoterms.
Able to run SAP & KPI reports at any time upon request.
EDUCATION:
High school education or a combination of relevant experience and/or education that is equivalent to a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree.
