Job Description Ensuring all goods, services and materials received into the company are processed on a daily/timely manner, from receipt at goods inwards through to stores, out into production, from production to the finished goods stores and then into dispatch.
Responsibilities: Plan-organize-monitor all shipping activities, both inbound and outbound from/to suppliers and customers.
To liaise-manage all transactional and operational matters with the Malaysian Royal Customs, ensuring compliance to both statutory and in-company import and export requirements and policies Gather quotations and co-ordinate shipment of return to vendor items To ensure all shipping orders are processed and completed timely to customer requirements To manage administrative and documentation requirement of job and ensuring proper postings into prevailing systems, eg.SAP Liaise with Freight Forwarders and OTI teams to arrange collection of shipments from Smiths Detection Malaysia.
Main person in charge for EDI and paper filing relating to trade compliance documentation as per LMW requirements Any other related job assigned from time to time, in accordance business needs / legal requirements Ensure stock accuracy between system and physical for finished goods and accessories Comply / ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
To support on and be trained as either a main administrator or backup on routine trade compliance documentation submission Monitor daily performance of packaging service provider and ensure performance issues are escalated appropriately.
Perform SAP transactions for material movements and accessory kits Maintain tracker for outbound shipments to validate against TRAX invoices Other duties as required Qualifications Minimum diploma or equivalent Have some working knowledge / exposure in shipping, logistics, import-export, customs liaison, LMW-PC1-PC2 licensing and related experience.
Understanding of computer software packages, i.e.
Windows, Database.
Good Communication skills.
SAP experience Flexible attitude to work methods and practices.
Able to work on own initiative.
Have legible handwriting.
Must have a methodical and practical approach to work.
