About the roleWe are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team at our PET at HOME store in Ipoh, Perak. This is a part-time role, offering flexible hours to suit your lifestyle. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring our store runs smoothly on a daily basis.
What you'll be doing
Greeting and assisting customers, answering their queries, and helping them find the products they need
Maintaining store cleanliness and organisation, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and displays are visually appealing
Operating the cash register, handling cash and card payments, and processing customer transactions efficiently
Restocking and replenishing inventory as required
Providing feedback and suggestions to improve store operations and customer experience
Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the pet or home goods industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors
Flexibility to work during peak hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of the store
