Job Description
To assist safety & health officer to lead the safety management team to meet the company's safety policy and plan, government and local authority safety regulations, and the client's project safety requirement Ensure safety measures and plan at a construction site area adhered to and in compliance with relevant regulations and requirements.Communicate the company's safety goals/objectives to employees, vendors, sub-contractors, and others.Organize and chair toolbox meetings with employees, vendors, sub-contractors, etc. to resolve and close any incidents, safety violations, or penalties.Review and update safety performance data or indicators in the management review meetings, site progress meetings, etc.Provide or recommend a continual improvement plan to safety policy, objectives and goals.Coordinate and lead emergency response team during accidents and or emergencies to bring the matters under control and close the matters.Coordinate and conduct accident/incident investigations and follow through with any action taken to close the investigations.Consult and communicate safety and health matters, disseminate safety information, and execute feedback made by employees, authorities, and consultants.Coordinate and organize safety incentive program to encourage awareness, compliance, and strict adherence at project/construction sites for productive and incident-free project completion promptly.Any other duties as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time. Requirements
Candidate must at least possess a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent/relevant disciplines.Minimum 5 years' experience in Safety supervision and implementation in the building construction industry and a proven track record of completing project with quality achievement in safetyRegistered competent safety site supervisor (SSS) with the occupational safety & health department (DOSH) – must have a valid YELLOW BOOKKnowledge is ISO requirements or equivalent environment Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001Computer literate in industry-related software such as MS Project/World/ExcelAble to communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia – both verbal and written Willing to work long hours and travel when requiredWilling to work on Sunday, Public Holiday, if needed.
