Minimum RequirementsAt least Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent
2-3 years' experience in Occupational Safety & Health in the Construction Industry
Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with DOSH (valid Yellow Book)
Competent First Aider and Fire Warden will be an added advantage
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Knowledge in working at heights and confined space
Traffic management knowledge is an added advantage
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with integrity, firm and bold, self-motivated
Well-developed analytical skills
Sound interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently
ResponsibilitiesChampion all HSE matters at project site to maintain a safe workplace
Act as Secretary for the Project Safety & Health Committee and organize Safety & Health Committee Meetings
Ensure that workers at site are properly trained regarding our OSH Act, Client's safety requirements, and our safety requirements through safety induction, daily toolbox briefing, periodic safety meetings, and formal training sessions
Proactively ensure proper practices are observed in the workplace by performing safety inspections and safety walkabouts
Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, including periodic checking of fire facilities, verifying first aid kits, and ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained following the appropriate schedule
Ensure that all activities at the project site are in compliance with all safety-related regulatory requirements
Ensure accurate reporting of manhours worked and UAUC
Carry out the responsibilities of project-based SSS
Perform any other reasonable tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Travel outstation for site work as required
Work late, through weekends, or public holidays as required
