Attend all training sessions and evaluations of the training program and obey all reasonable instructions given by the instructor(s) of the training program while following all training diligently.Apply knowledge and skills gained from the training program while on the program and on the job.Endeavor to your utmost ability to achieve the objectives of the training program, including but not limited to passing any assessments, tests, or examinations, whether written or practical, as required.Under the leadership of the superintendent and team leader, ensure safe operation of the stoking machine and perform the feeding and pushing operation correctly.Demonstrate proficiency in the job responsibilities and work content of a smelting worker and other positions in the smelting workshop.Comply with all management regulations of the company, labor discipline provisions, safety operational regulations, and all provisions of the smelting workshop.Regularly inspect furnace conditions to ensure that the furnace is always in optimal condition and apply control measures when necessary.Consistently communicate with the furnace superintendent regarding furnace conditions and report any issues.Familiarize yourself with concepts and processes of the smelting workshop.Occasionally take responsibility for rationalizing the work arrangement for casting positions, such as:
Opening and blocking tap hole, turning down, thermometry, moulding, removing slag, transporting iron, and other work;
Punching clay plugs from tap-holes, using steel rod/bar, to allow molten metal to flow into crucibles;
Molding clay plugs and inserting them into tap-holes to stop the flow of metal, using a rod, or building clay plugs over tap-holes;
Attaching crane hooks to crucibles filled with molten metal and signaling the Overhead Crane Operator to lift the crucible and commence pouring;
Prizing castings from molds, using a bar;
Attaching lifting tongs and grips to crane hooks and signaling the Overhead Crane Operator to position tongs onto castings;
Securing tongs and grips onto castings and signaling the Overhead Crane Operator to move castings from molds to collection containers;
Moving materials by hand, cleaning equipment, and work areas;
Fulfilling other tasks assigned by your superior(s).
