The SMT Senior Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery meets customer requirements. The role will involve leading and supervising a team of SMT Engineers and Technicians to ensure equipment maintenance is carried out promptly and effectively.
Job Responsibilities:To plan, direct, and oversee activities of SMT department activities to meet business goals and objectives.
Responsible for training, upgrading, motivating, appraising, awarding, and formulating a group vision of team success.
Determine proper reaction to change instructions and take steps to prevent problems.
Establish effective utilization of SMT manpower, SMT equipment, and facilities.
Optimize production line utilization to contribute to high production yield, performance, and quality.
Ensure all SMT facilities and machinery are properly maintained to enable continuous optimum plant operation.
Pay high attention to employee work safety and health.
Ensure areas of responsibility comply with ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 requirements, customer requirements, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Telecommunication, or equivalent.
Candidate with hands-on experience in an SMT environment – 2.5 to 3 years.
Minimum SMT Machine knowledge (AOI/SPI) and process.
Ability to document/report and proficient in paperwork.
Good interpersonal communication skills, problem analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience leading and supervising a team of SMT Engineers and Technicians.
Knowledge of SMT equipment and maintenance practices.
