Job DescriptionOur platform services engineering teams are responsible for providing reliable cloud-based RESTful APIs for our Experian Software Solutions division.
We are seeking a Software Engineer for one of our Ascend One Platform Services teams to help us continuously improve the software available to our clients via our rapidly growing Cloud platform.
Much of our software development focuses on building microservices to provide numerous capabilities for our client applications.
On the platform services team, you will have opportunity to use your expertise in coding, system design thinking and analytical skills to provide shared services for the client product development teams.
QualificationsStrong working knowledge of Object-Oriented Design principles and J2EE Design patterns.
Strong experience of microservices, RESTful APIs, databases, queuing technologies and event streaming services (Kafka).
Good understanding of Linux.
Strong working knowledge in Automation Testing – Unit and Integration testing.
Good experience with End-to-end Application architecture and System Design.
Experience with continuous integration/delivery/deployment (CI/CD) practices, frameworks and tools, such as Jenkins.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Additional InformationExperience with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins or any other similar tooling.
Good understanding on observability into the APIs and services developed using various tools like Prometheus, Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk, etc.
Understanding of networking, cloud design patterns and security.
