Job Summary:The Solution Architect will play a key role in designing and implementing technology solutions to support the academic and administrative functions of (University Name). Reporting to the CIO, the Solution Architect will collaborate closely with Operations managers, Application managers, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver strategic technology solutions that align with the university's goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:Solution Design: Lead the design and development of technology solutions to address business needs and challenges within the university.Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, identify technical requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions.Architecture Planning: Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and documentation to guide the implementation of technology solutions.Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new and emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.Collaboration: Collaborate with Operations managers, Application managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with organizational goals and priorities.Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring that solutions are implemented according to best practices and industry standards.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology solutions, including security vulnerabilities, data privacy concerns, and compliance issues.Quality Assurance: Ensure that technology solutions meet quality standards, performance requirements, and user expectations through rigorous testing and validation processes.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners to ensure effective delivery of solution components and services.Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff members and end-users to facilitate the adoption and utilization of technology solutions.Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of technology solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization, enhancement, and innovation.Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic technology plans and initiatives in alignment with university goals and objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with at least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing technology solutions.Strong technical background with expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, application development, and integration.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Experience working in higher education or academic environments is a plus.
