The opportunity
You'll have the unique opportunity to work with some of the largest clients in Malaysia and MNCs from a supply chain perspective covering the following function:
Procurement
Your key responsibilities
Execute sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and supplier management activities.
Utilize financial acumen to analyze procurement data and support decision-making.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement strategies.
Leverage tools such as Excel, SAP, and e-Procurement systems to manage procurement processes.
Conduct market surveys for goods and services to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and present procurement operations reports.
Drive process enhancements from sourcing to payment to improve efficiency.
Skills and attributes for success
Familiarity with category management and conducting market surveys.
Experience collaborating with business units and end-users to define sourcing strategies.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements to drive cost savings and efficiency.
To qualify for the role, you must have
Flexibility to undertake assignments at client's premises and are open to contractual employment.
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Strong understanding of procurement policies and processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.
Effective purchasing negotiation tactics and techniques.
Ideally, you'll also have
Proficiency in Excel.
Knowledge of SAP and e-Procurement systems.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
