The Sourcing Lead plays a pivotal role in cultivating and maintaining the relationship between ASML and its key suppliers. This involves managing current suppliers for Quality, Logistics, Technology, Cost, and Sustainability (QLTCS) performance while identifying potential new suppliers to support future business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, leadership, initiative, professional communication, financial/business analysis skills, and an engineering or technology background.
In this position, you will oversee assigned suppliers and commodity/categories to ensure that ASML is supported by world-class suppliers delivering high-quality products on time and at a competitive total cost. You will be expected to drive continuous improvement with current and potential suppliers, exploring opportunities arising from process and product improvements, new technologies, alternative materials, and suppliers, as well as enhancements in supply chain activities and cost reduction programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops a strategic vision for the supplier landscape by collaborating with the Category Manager to align with the critical technology roadmap and product roadmap, taking into account regional needs.
Jointly defines and executes category sourcing strategy with the Category PFT and strategic supplier account plans.
Monitors developments and trends within the supply base for Mechanics/Electronics Racks and Cab, ensuring that ASML is prepared to react accordingly in the short and long term.
Leads supplier selection activities through one or more Sourcing Teams.
Presents key decision-making information regarding make/buy decisions and supplier selections in executive review meetings.
Negotiates Long-Term Supply Agreements (LTSA), NPI Agreements, and associated addendums, monitoring contractual compliance of the supplier and ASML.
Drives continuous cost and lead time reduction.
Takes the lead in managing suppliers' QLTCS performance through regular review processes, such as Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and Executive Review Meeting (ERM).
Prepares supplier spending forecasts and monitors supplier financial health.
Ensures consistent and coordinated communication with suppliers.
Drives supply base rationalization within categories.
Participates in supplier overall capabilities audits and drives closure of findings and improvement plans.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in supplier management in a high-tech, international manufacturing environment.
A deep understanding of one or more technology-related supply chains is strongly preferred.
A proven track record in developing strong business relationships with key suppliers and experience in developing and executing long-term agreements are required.
Experience with complex negotiations, problem-solving, strategic planning, and financial analysis are essential.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required.
Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques and a strong understanding of technology manufacturing are highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with negotiation skills being critical.
Ability to operate effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally.
Leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams are essential.
Ability to professionally represent ASML to outside companies/suppliers.
