ResponsibilitiesEnsure the highest food quality and appropriate to the market by assisting the Executive Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operations.
Adhere to Petite Café Group's standard of food quality, preparation, recipes and presentation.
Ensure proper staffing and adequate supplies for all stations.
Supervise the proper set-up of each item on menus and ensure their readiness.
Oversee the seasonings, portions and appearance of food service in the operation.
Store unused food properly to minimize waste and maximize quality.
Work closely with Chefs to ensure correct preparation and delivery times are kept and food quality is maintained.
Assure proper safety, hygiene and sanitation practices are followed.
Assist Executive Chef in checking and ordering fresh products and dry storage items required by the kitchen.
Ensure readiness and make priorities in case of last minute changes to reservation.
Confer closely and regularly with the Executive Chef and take every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of the position, in order to be ready to fill in whenever required.
Ensure that emergency procedures are practiced and enforced to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
Ensure that employees work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
Know how to protect self against chemicals and be aware of harmful chemicals used.
Carry out any reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the company.
Be willing to work at Alice Smith Secondary School at Equine Park, Seri Kembangan.
