Department OverviewAPAC Demand Planning within Motorola Solutions Supply Chain is responsible for managing the volume planning process across selected product categories for the APAC region. Demand Planners analyze data and work closely with the Supply, Business Operations and Sales department to ensure the business is ready to handle the expected demand. Utilizing advanced statistical forecast methods to achieve optimal demand signal accuracy and consistency. Being the front end of Supply Chain, sending accurate demand is key for total Supply Chain success.
Job DescriptionDevelop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for the APAC region, using statistical forecasting methods, sales data, market trends, and inputs from partners.
Collaborate with business operations and sales teams to understand demand drivers and ensure that forecast reflects current market conditions and business strategies.
Work closely with Delivery Management, Order Management & Supply Planning to best utilize material availability to fulfill customer orders in time.
Supervise inventory position in terms of excess and obsolescence management, in cooperation with inventory controller preparing provisions and scrap recommendations.
Coordinate new product introductions and cancellations to reduce excess/obsolete piece parts while minimizing customer impact.
Quarterly revise & align to the revenue target.
Monitor and report on forecast accuracy and bias, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Achieve forecast accuracy and volatility goals, and support overall revenue, inventory and delivery targets.
Basic RequirementsMinimum 2-4 years of experience in supply chain/demand planning.
First class communication & presentation skills to engage partners & stakeholders.
Candidate must have a solid understanding of basic Supply Chain principles.
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, or equivalent.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is required (creating and presenting quantitative, summarized data via spreadsheets, pivot tables and graphs).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Positive and proactive attitude towards continuous improvement, solid time management skills, ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
Self-starter with enthusiasm, flexibility, and motivation to progress.
Experience with Oracle, Demantra, Tableau, & SQL is a plus.
