Job description: Providing input into the development of the MEP schedule and reviewing contractor submissions. Conduct a detailed review of the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Building Services construction drawings submitted by the relevant consultants. Identify and provide feedback on any design discrepancies or areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards.Managing MEP technical coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and utility providers.Reviewing of pre-construction documentation provided by the contractor including shop drawings, material/ equipment submittals and samples, quality plans, and method statements. Reviewing of construction progress including programme and quality control/auditing. Reviewing all testing and commissioning activities and liaison with the independent commissioning authority. Being responsible for the development of project MEP close-out strategy and review of documentation such as record drawings and O&M manuals provided by the contractor. Supporting the commercial team in the valuation of works, change control, or claims. To plan, supervise, monitor, and control daily construction work at the project site.To ensure proper material control and storage, quality assurance, and full machine utilization.To ensure the contractor uses the latest approved drawings, and comply with samples, method statement, and quality standards.To check and ensure that the quality of all building materials used in the project is from the acceptable range of products.To check and ensure the quality/workmanship for all construction works of various sub-trades are within the acceptable tolerance.To verify necessary testing on all construction works/materials to ensure compliance with technical specifications.To monitor the construction works in order to ensure timely completion.To check and ensure that the operation of safety and cleanliness of the construction sites are well organized in an orderly manner at all times.To organize the authorities' final inspection, testing, and To prepare site progress reports and ability to solve technical difficulties that arise.BIM Coodination.To conduct site coordination meetings.Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager / Sr. Project ManagerTo perform any ad-hoc task as assigned
Field of study:
• Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or equivalent.
Working Experience:
• Minimum 15 years of working experience in project & construction management for infrastructure and mid-rise buildings.
• Resort hotel development experience will be added advantage.
Language ability:
• English
• Bahasa Melayu
• Chinese
Computer skill:
• MS Office, MS Project, SketchUp & AutoCAD.
• BIM knowledge would be an advantage.
Other requirement:
• Familiar with building contractual terms and laws & regulations.
• Must be able & willing to work night shift & weekends due to the project nature of requirement.
• Possess good interpersonal communication & analytical skill with people at all levels.
• Willing to allocate at the construction site at Papar District, Sabah.
Salary range RM 6,000 ~ RM 10,000
