As a Nurse in a Postnatal Care Centre, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to new mothers and their babies during the postpartum period.
You will be responsible for monitoring the health and well-being of both the mother and the newborn, assisting with breastfeeding and newborn care, providing education and support to the new parents, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Job Description
Assess and monitor nursing needs for mothers and babies.
Advise on breastfeeding, managing newborn care, and other health promotion to mothers.
Monitor and track the baby reports for their milk consumption.
Ensure on-time feeding and care of newborn infants.
Maintain cleanliness of the baby room and proper hygiene.
Perform administration duties as advised by Superior.
Monitor the general well-being of mother and child.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for mothers and babies, ensuring all necessary paperwork, including consent forms and discharge instructions, are completed properly.
Requirements / Criteria:
Certified and Registered Nurse by LJM.
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in Nursing, NICU, Postnatal Care, or related field.
Possess a passionate disposition to care for mothers and babies.
Preferably able to communicate in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Must be willing to work night shifts.
Experience in a confinement centre or paediatric ward preferred (higher salary package).
LJM pass, Diploma in Nursing, Postbasic Midwifery preferred (higher salary package).
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
On shift 5 days work per week.
Full-time with OT, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and Annual Leave.
Continuing Nursing Education (CNE).
