Staff Technical Project Lead (Molding & Coating)To define, plan and execute Flash Product Development program according to BCP (Business Creation Process). To lead and coordinate all lens related NPI activities between internal team, suppliers and customer.
What You Will Do:
Technical Project Lead (TPL) to define, plan and execute Flash Product Development program according to BCP (Business Creation Process). Lead product development tasks, from early concept/prototyping, through design and development to product release (MPR).
Lead and coordinate all lens related NPI activities between internal teams, suppliers and customer.
Work closely with in-house Product Lines (Flash Lens and Module Assembly) and Lens suppliers in ramping new Flash products to high volume after product release (MPR), yield stabilization and improvement.
Responsible for developing and releasing customized Flash modules for specific customer as per the required schedule (prototype, engineering and pre-release/training samples), performance, cost/yield and required quality.
Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians encompassing a wide spectrum of disciplines Product Lines, Design, Materials, Process, Test, COE (Center of Excellence), Finance, SCM, PMO, Quality and Reliability to achieve a robust product release.
Lead the activities to resolve technical issues during development including cost avoidance.
Support manufacturing as needed to improve on yield, cost reduction and cycle time.
Be a technical mentor to R&D Engineers.
Complies with environment, security, health and safety requirements.
What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications):
MUST
Bachelor/Master's Degree in optics engineering, mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering technology, preferably in LED industry.
5+ years of relevant optics, tooling, lens molding, optical lens fabrication or coating technology experience.
Strong hands-on experience with DFM, Design and Process FMEA, MFA, DOE, SPC, Process Flow, Control Plan, Root Cause Analysis and six sigma engineering activities.
Strong interpersonal & communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
WANT
Experience with Pro-E software, hydraulics, pneumatics and geometric dimensioning & tolerance. Experience with/know the use computer-aid design (CAD) software to develop 2D and 3D designs of assembly lines or machinery.
Strong technical background in packaging and manufacturing of LED Flash.
Knowledge of Materials, SMT, manufacturing processes and Equipment technology.
Fundamental understanding of FA techniques.
