We are currently seeking a Static Equipment Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.Successful candidates would be offered a fixed term of employment.About The JobPerform engineering detailed design on current projects for onshore/offshore projects and to fulfill departmental needs and support engineering operations within the company.Main AccountabilitiesDESIGN BASIS, CODE & STANDARD
Understanding and applying knowledge of design codes, industries standard and practices such as API/ISO/ASME, etc. and interpretation of the requirement to meet project requirements.
Competent to resolve problems/troubleshoot based on Codes & Standards interpretation.
Understand Codes limitations, apply with accuracy and effectiveness.
Understanding of Clients specification (e.g. PTS, DEP etc.) and provide service which meets contract requirements.
Review and raise clarifications on the ITB/Client documents/Contractual documents in case of ambiguity in definition/lack of clarity/lack of reference/areas of doubt, based on specialist experience/judgment.KNOWLEDGE OF STATIC EQUIPMENT
Understanding of static equipment including pressure vessels, air-coolers, heat exchangers, fire heaters, API 650 tanks, columns etc. used generally in oil and gas/refinery/industries for onshore and offshore applications, and select correct types of equipment for a given process service application.
Competent to review Vendors various options (including limitation and/or deviation) and provide detailed technical evaluation (TBE/TBT) of the equipment.
Competent to review in-house and Vendors P&IDs and identify interfaces for the equipment.
Competent to witness the Vendor FAT/shop testing, and review test reports and provide relevant comments if any.
Competent to participate effectively to resolve any issues related to equipment testing in case of failures/deficiencies/under-performance/discrepancy during shop testing.
Competent to provide support by responding to Site Technical Queries (STQ) regarding equipment engineering design/equipment installation/mechanical completion for field acceptance.
Competent to explore cost-saving options/energy-efficient measures during project execution phase or during proposal, if requested, and if available.
Competent to actively involve in the equipment/project HAZOP and close out of any action points.MATERIAL SELECTION
Understanding of various types of materials to be used for different services (Wet CO2 service, sour service, low-temperature service, toxic service, etc.) and knowledge of material available in the market for the particular service and equipment, and review of Vendor proposed material.
Understanding of materials grades to be used based on process input/material selection report/corrosion study, and provide feedback if necessary, in case of the material selected is in question.WORKING DELIVERABLES

Review Vendor Data to meet Codes and Standards, Local Regulations, project and disciplines requirements.
Competent to interface with other disciplines like piping/stress group, process, civil, electrical, structural and instrumentation.
Able to understand interface issues with other disciplines, and resolve any conflict.
Able to conduct VDR meetings with vendor/support Vendor in case of needs to shorten the VDR duration and to achieve project progress.FABRICATION KNOWLEDGE
Understand fabrication process, critical elements/critical path and how it influences the delivery of equipment.
Able to anticipate effectively to improve delivery schedule of Vendor equipment.OTHERS
Good professional judgment, responsive and pro-active in execution of static equipment deliverables to meet project needs, and ability to handle difficult situations arising due to complexities of Project demand.
Produce quality engineering deliverables/service and meeting JV/Client expectations.
Fulfill QA/HSE aspects, with acceptable teamwork.About YouThe Candidate shall possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Hons). Possess at least a minimum of 4 years of engineering design experience in various static equipment for onshore/offshore applications, preferably with experience in Green Hydrogen, Electrolyzer, and Carbon Capture Storage Projects.Additional Information
Be willing to travel and stationed at various Engineering Operating Centers/Client Office on needs basis (for overseas assignment).
Site or fabrication experience (1 to 2 years).
Exhibit and maintain good relationships with Client/Peers/Equipment Vendor & suppliers.
