The headquarters are located in Haag (Switzerland), with production centers in Switzerland, Malaysia, Romania and Taiwan.We are seeking aTechnical Specialist in Standardizationto drive the standardization strategy for our mechanical C-part assortment, aligning with company-specific requirements and economic considerations. This role involves further developing processes and tools for the implementation of this strategy. Key responsibilities include:Creating, managing, and approving mechanical parts standards and guidelines in close collaboration with expert networks.Providing support and guidance to various departments (business units, sales, marketing, manufacturing) for implementing these documents, ensuring global comprehension and adherence to the established standards and guidelines.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support the development of a training platform and training materials of VAT standards (e.g. Fuse, SharePoint).Participate in the further development of VAT standards and procedures.Administration, control, and publication of standard documents and guidelines on our online portals.Implement continuous improvement process requirements (CIP).Support with data analyses and data corrections regarding the standard part assortment (e.g. preferred assortment, alternative articles).First and Second Level support.Creation and management of standard parts within CAD-PLM library.Consulting and conducting trainings in the application of standards and guidelines.Active support in the implementation of the new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics) in the standards department.Minimum Qualification:Operating experience in working directly with customers, system partners, and in cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.Comprehensive VAT knowledge in product design and product master data processes is an advantage.Several years of experience in mechanical engineering, medical device, or automotive companies.Additional experience in product modularization is beneficial.Preferred Qualification:A completed technical education (design engineer, poly mechanic).Analytical thinking, quick comprehension, willingness to learn, distinct networked thinking and organizational skills.Independence, flexibility, ability to work under pressure, reliability and enjoyment of contact with people.Strong computer skills (MS Office).Strong English language skills, both written and spoken.Knowledge of the German language will provide significant advantages.VAT is an equal opportunity employer.
