Responsibilities:
Ensure all Malaysia warehouse/PTF activities run smoothly and efficiently, monitoring and controlling functions.
Ensure operation routines, e.g., vessel or tanker loading/unloading, pipeline transfer, are carried out safely and efficiently.
Ensure housekeeping work is conducted to maintain a safe, clean, and conducive environment in the Warehouse and PTF area to improve productivity.
Perform routine inspections of the Warehouse and PTF area.
Ensure safety rules and regulations are adhered to by operators.
Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
Monitor staff attendance based on shift schedules.
Report monthly and yearly activities to top management.
Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
Monitor logistics to ensure they run smoothly.
Train and guide employees.
Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g., use of trucks, forklifts).
Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
Initiate and direct investigations to resolve shipper or customer complaints and verify their authenticity and accuracy.
Collaborate with staff members and fellow managers to create, modify, and implement goals, procedures, policies, and objectives when opportunities arise.
Ensure operational routine activities such as vessel loading/discharging and pipeline transfers are carried out safely and efficiently.
Monitor housekeeping duties of port tank farm/terminal to keep areas safe, clean, and conducive to productivity.
Ensure collection, labeling, and storage of wastes as per Waste Disposal Procedure.
Record operating parameters in the field and DCS and log sheets, review, analyze, and recommend actions to maintain smooth, efficient, and optimal operations.
Adopt storage operations in a safe and effective manner to achieve quality and quantity according to the production plan as directed by the Supervisor or superior.
Anticipate start-up, shutdown, and emergency activities with minimal supervision in accordance with established procedures and instructions.
Expedite routine field inspections and monitor assigned units (WH & MTBE corridor area) by taking appropriate actions and/or reporting any abnormalities observed.
Execute operational preparation for maintenance work and guide the Technician, such as filter cleaning, line flushing, purging, etc.
Monitor laboratory results from samples.
Ensure drumming, stuffing, slopping, unloading, and loading activities are conducted in a timely and safe manner.
Monitor weighbridge operations for incoming and outgoing trucks/containers smoothly and effectively.
Assist and guide Thailand/Vietnam staff for commissioning and set-up of storage tanks in Thailand and Vietnam for UPC liquid bulk storage.
Support as Ship Loading Master for Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam if required.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or a relevant qualification.
At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
Experience in port tank farm operations, cargo surveying, and handling liquid cargo.#J-18808-Ljbffr
