Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a highly competentStrategic Buyerwho will work closely with the Procurement Managers in managing the commercial and sourcing activity forPackagingused by Nestlé worldwide.
Reporting directly to the Global Category Lead, you will support the definition and the implementation of the category strategy on a regional level and strongly contribute to delivering Nestlé's sustainability objectives. In addition, you will have the opportunity to manage your own category spend and grow into additional responsibilities as part of your ongoing development plan.

Located in hubs in Switzerland, Panama, and Malaysia, our people provide a range of services, including managing the procurement of raw materials, packaging, indirect materials, and other services. A Day in the Life of a Strategic Buyer - Packaging:
Support the designated Procurement Manager for assigned tasks, including examples such as data management, forecasting, project support, and other tasks.
Interact with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across multiple levels to monitor and drive progress for cost initiatives, source to pay challenges, sustainability, and responsible sourcing initiatives.
Learn the fundamentals of procurement category management to serve as a backfill when needed in support of the extended packaging team.
Manage the day-to-day procurement support activities, RFx, and contracting process for selected markets or businesses.
Help to develop and execute the category strategy to deliver value to the business from cost improvements, sustainability activities, and ensuring supply.
Manage less complex/small scale spend (category management).
Be a force for good, helping to achieve Nestlé's sustainability goals for Packaging.
What will make you successful:
University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement.
Ability to thrive in a complex, dynamic international environment.
Intermediate to advanced abilities with Excel and PowerPoint are required. Previous experience with SAP is beneficial.
Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese are essential; additional languages will be an asset.
