Our Strategy and Transactions (SaT) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital. Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within SaT include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Valuation and Business Modelling, Project Finance, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support and Transaction Tax.
We are seeking to build on recent successes and continue to grow the origination and execution capacity of the team through the recruitment of a SaT professional at the Senior Associate level.

Leveraging an extensive global network, our SaT team provides sector-focused advice to navigate complexity by helping them to reimagine their eco-systems, reshape their portfolios and reinvent themselves for a better future. As part of this team you may also advise C-suite executives and boards on evaluating strategic alternatives in the context of transactions.
We work across all industries and operate in a broad range of disciplines including:
Merger and acquisition as well as transaction evaluation
Valuation, business modelling and economics
Transaction due diligence
Strategic planning and capital allocation
Budgeting, forecasting and planning
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Associate within SaT team, you will:
Perform industry and company research utilising online tools and publicly available information
Analyse the financial and operational results of companies targeted by reviewing accounting records and participating in interviews with management
Prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation
Deliver financial modeling engagements for strategic planning, capital allocation, transaction support, investment appraisal, financial planning and reporting purposes
Perform business valuation for transaction and financial reporting purposes
Work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
Assist in researching technical accounting issues to evaluate implications on transaction valuation and structuring
Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
Skills and attributes for success
Strong numerical, financial and modelling skills based on a well-developed understanding of financial statements
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Strong Excel skills
Ability to conduct analysis, research and reporting to interpret, validate and reconcile complex data

To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor's degree preferably majoring in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or other financial related background
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in similar industry. Audit experience is an advantage.
Strong numerical, financial and modelling skills based on a well-developed understanding of financial statements
Sound commercial judgment and an ability to generate creative solutions to problems
A passion to provide high quality service to your clients
Ideally, you'll also have
Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA.
