The Strategy & Projects (S&P) team works with stakeholders across all business functions in Grab to drive continuous improvements and lead special projects. The team is responsible to generate business insights and propose data-driven strategic initiatives to grow the business across both Transport and Deliveries.
Get to know the Role: This role will require the candidate to use data-driven insights to create a sustainable, reliable and efficient marketplace for the Transport and Deliveries businesses. The role requires (a) familiarity with large datasets and a knack for piecing together data to form insights, (b) ability to work with many different teams including Product, Engineering and Operations. Familiarity with economics is a strong plus - fundamentally, this role is about matching supply and demand efficiently.
Scope includes: Collaborating with cross-functional teams in projects to improve metrics on all sides of the marketplace Proposing new experiments and owning end-to-end experimentation process including experiment design, rollout and analysis of results Monitoring day-to-day marketplace metrics, investigating short-term anomalies and troubleshooting with the product team as needed Developing day-to-day tactical solutions and longer-term strategic initiatives to improve marketplace dynamics, using tools such as pricing and allocation A strong candidate should have the following: 2-3 years of working experience in related field (economics, strategy, pricing and incentive design) Excellent analytical abilities, including advanced Excel/Google sheets skills. You will need to be comfortable with drawing insights from complex, large data sets. SQL proficiency is a plus Strong communication and project management skills, including ability to present insights in a thoughtful manner End-to-end problem-solving.
