Student Counsellor

The education assistant / supervisor performs under the functional authority of the principal education advisor (CPE) support functions to the education team such as:- supervision of pupils during times outside the classroom: recess, movement in the corridors, canteen, hours of duty, etc.- absence control via the Pronote software, family call- Welcoming and assisting parents of students- help with study and homework;- support and guidance for students in difficulty;- assistance in the use of new technologies;- supervision and animation of School Life and CVLC activities- collective mechanisms for the integration of disabled studentsThe Educational Assistant / Supervisor is an educational professional who must:- Respect and ensure respect for the internal regulations- Contribute to mastery of the French language.- Knowing how to transmit and share the principles of democratic life as well as the values of the republican school: freedom, equality, fraternity, secularism and the rejection of all forms of discrimination.- Help the pupils to develop their critical mind, to distinguish knowledge from opinions or beliefs, to know how to argue and to respect the thoughts of others.- Give all students appropriate attention and support.- Avoid any form of devaluation of students, parents, peers and any member of the educational community.- Contribute to the implementation of transversal education, in particular education for health, education for citizenship, education for sustainable development and artistic and cultural education.- Contribute to ensuring the well-being, safety and security of students, to prevent and manage violence at school, to identify any form of exclusion or discrimination, as well as any sign that may reflect situations of great social or of abuse.- Help identify any sign of risky behavior and help resolve it.- Respect the confidentiality of individual information concerning students and their families.- Include its intervention within a collective framework, in the service of complementarity and continuity of teaching as well as educational actions.A very good command of the French language, both written and spoken, is required for this position.Respect for hierarchy, loyalty and discretion are essential qualities.French Expatriate School for student from Kindergarten till SecondaryMaster's or Equivalent
