Job Summary: Supervise receiving, manufacturing WIP, and final product inspection functions.Supervise and support all first-article documentation requirements.Set work schedules to support Site Operations delivery needs.Create, submit, and retain PORs (Process of Records).Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure documented procedures are current and reflect the scope of activities for all inspections performed on-site.Align with Operations Personnel on an inspection prioritization system to address inspection plan.Support inspection requests for part qualifications, failure analyses, source inspection, and outsourcing.Generate inspection reports.Determine and set part inspection plans as a function of NPI/new product releases.Create non-conforming material inputs and reports for all deviations from specifications.Create monthly data and perform analytics to assess inspection metrics/performance monthly.Assess site and staffing needs. Create proposals to meet site needs.Use internal inspection NCRs to drive internal quality continuous improvement process.Educational/Certification Requirement: Diploma or Degree in mechanical engineering or technical fieldCertification in weldingCertified ISO 9001 auditor is a plus Experience Requirement: 5 years of mechanical inspection experience in welding and/or electromechanical system integration, minimum 5 years of supervisory experienceFamiliar with warehouse material flow, and semiconductor equipment assembly process.Ability to read mechanical drawings and use CMM and other inspection tools plus knowledge of GD&T.Experienced in supplier and customer-first article review.Quality knowledge such as 8D, supplier qualification, part qualification, non-conforming materials report, MRB, data analysis, etc.Basic statistical knowledge of process control, AQL sampling plan, R&R study, correction studyEngineering or other technical degree, experience managing capacity and capability planning and resourcing in a production environment.Good communication skills to interface with customers and suppliers for quality or documentation issues, and actively participate in failure analysis and corrective action efforts.Team player, flexible, willing to take on different tasks and work assignments as needed.
