SummaryThe Quality Advisor provides the generation of quality standards and technical consultation. Lead the team to solve technical and process issues.
Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Develop and maintain quality system procedures and workmanship standards.
Define the protocol on process and product to solve problems (FMEA, 8D, CCB, ISO, etc.).
Provide training, guidance, and decision-making for the team.
Explore advanced technology and methodology to strengthen process and product quality control.
Lead task force teams to overcome challenges related to product, material, and process.
Provide quality engineering services to satisfy the customer.
In-depth knowledge of ISO and IPC standards and processes.
Knowledge of software and its use in generating reports that capture and present data in an understandable format.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery, and profitability.
Strong knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, etc.
Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Kaizen.
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Physical DemandsSitting/standing, free to move around.
Walking.
Sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors and screens.
The job works in generally good conditions with occasional exposure (10% - 33%) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
Occasional overnight travel is required.
Typical Experience7 to 10 years (6 to 8 years).
Typical EducationHigh School Graduation. G.E.D. (or equivalent) (HR to verify if Technical Diploma is required).
