Our client is one of the largest manufacturing companies globally.
Due to business needs, a Supplier Quality Engineer is needed to join their team.
Role
Ensure continuous supplier development and improvement on products and manufacturing process via adoption of Lean principles through the life cycle of the firm's own house assortment products.
Ensure firm's product fulfils specification and has consistent quality and reliability from approved suppliers to exceed customer expectations in all our sales company.
Continuous improvement of the supplier's quality level.
Lead the assigned category supplier's quality management job including SOE, Claim Handling, process audit and quality improvement.
Conduct Lean training and Kaizen Event workshop at SOE suppliers.
Perform supplier quality audit regularly and follow up non-conformances
Follow up Corrective Actions and preventive actions for complaints from customers at suppliers.
Undertake Process Validation to improve process quality and stability.
Early engagement in New Product introduction and ongoing quality fulfilment through life of the product.
Support and interact with other departments to develop supplier, e.g.
quality, cost saving, lead time, delivery, capacity and sustainability.
Conduct Social Compliance audit at suppliers covering requirements of SMETA , safety and PPE etc.
Requirements
College or above degree, and major in Quality management or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Six sigma black belt is preferred.
Minimum 3 -5 years relevant working experience.
Production background, proven working experience in process capability, minimum 6 sigma green belt.
Strong background in Quality work is a must.
Experience in implementation of quality systems and supplier auditing is a must.
Experience with ISO9000 is a must and experience in ISO14001, IATF16949, ISO450001 is an advantage.
Working experience in Stamping, Coating, PVD, Casting, Injection Molding is preferred.
Knowledge about furniture and architecture hardware is a plus.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Supplier Development is an advantage.
Be able to travel in Guangdong/Eastern China areas frequently and regional travel occasionally.
Good knowledge about the production of relevant products.
Good command of English reports writing and emails / product standard reading.
