Regularly evaluates quality and sets performance benchmarks, and accesses the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
work continuously on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., Consignment, JIT, Kanban, min/max) & manufacturing strategies.
encourage and coordinate early supplier involvement in highly technical and/or contractually complex new products parts design using the suppliers' expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability.
establish goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meet forecasted demand.
act as an escalation point to resolve shortages represent supplier business management on cross-functional commodity teams that focus on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied.
work with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems, to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements.
develop presentations, white papers, process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects.
Who We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field More than 6 years of Supply Chain Management experience, managing global suppliers on direct & indirect materials and services.
Good experience on development, management, and improvement of supplier performance metrics such as OTD, Consignment and Leadtime.
Knowledge and experience in ERP systems, SAP expertise strongly preferred.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) Solid written/oral communication skills in English with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including Executive.
Preferred Qualifications Strong Knowledge on Purchasing agreements and contracting.
Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities and solid analytical skills.
Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes Familiarity with semiconductor or high-technology supply management practices, standards and organization would be a plus.
commodity experience in preferred: Power Box, Value added assembly and Sheet metal fabrication.
