Roles:
The Supply Chain Technical Engineer is responsible for optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes to support efficient production in a semiconductor contract manufacturing environment.
This role requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and deep industry knowledge to ensure effective material planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
The Supply Chain Technical Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, enhance cost efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
Possess a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical components, component specifications, and industry standards.
Analyze component specifications and engineering drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate component substitutions, design changes, and technical feasibility.
Value Engineering and Cost/Leadtime Reduction:
Actively engage in value engineering initiatives to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to optimize procurement costs.
Explore opportunities for component standardization, consolidation, and alternative sourcing.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Monitor and optimize supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement strategies to minimize lead times, reduce inventory levels, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with customer, engineering, production, quality control, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with company goals.
Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring supply chain readiness for ramp-up.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes.
Project Management:
Manage complex procurement projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with industry standards, including environmental and safety regulations.
Assess and mitigate supply chain risks related to supplier reliability, geopolitical factors, and market fluctuations.
Implement contingency plans for disruptions in the supply chain.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or a related field.
5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or engineering roles within the semiconductor industry.
Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proven track record in cost reduction, value engineering, and supply chain optimization.#J-18808-Ljbffr
