The Supply Planning Lead will be based at our Kerry Plant in Plentong, Johor Bahru and will be an integral part of the Supply Chain team. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and will partner cross-functionally with other teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery through efficient capacity planning.
Key responsibilities:
Develop continuous improvement activities to drive planning excellence through efficiencies in capacity planning.
Proactively identify and report order, capacity & inventory risks.
Create supply strategy and identify capability needs aligned to the business strategy and establish the supply foundations that will enable future growth.
Develop a robust supply plan to ensure there is an appropriate level of products available to support sales and increase customer service levels.
Execute the agreed standard supply planning processes, supporting the implementation of new projects and tools to ensure continuity of an excellent supply plan.
Facilitate emergent issues that impact schedule and commitment. Work with functional teams to find solutions and perform root-cause and gap analysis.
Establish planning control checkpoints and processes to drive and uphold commitment & supply integrity.
Prepare RCCP overviews to drive S&OP meetings with Business, Operations, and Finance to determine mid to long-term business & operation strategy.
Achieve FG inventory targets set by Group, manage safety stocks & goods movement.
Improve supply service levels through administering operational terms & criteria, supply planning efficiency & flexibility, capacity optimization, and lead-time reduction.
Implement mechanisms to capture exceptional orders, costs, and risks of order changes impacting capacity and recommend solutions.
Order management – advise Material Availability Date and work with cross-functional teams to ensure stock delivery according to promise.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) timelines.
Provide mentoring and guidance to Supply Planners, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Qualifications and skills:
Candidates will be qualified to degree level in Supply Chain, Business/Commercial or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Planning roles within Supply Chain functions.
Food manufacturing experience is preferable but not essential.
SAP experience is highly advantageous.
Possess strong planning and analytical skills and be able to take complex issues and break down actions for resolution while working with tight deadlines.
A solid communicator who can build strong relationships and is not afraid to challenge decisions when seeing better alternatives or potential pitfalls.
Possess strong business acumen with deep operational insight as well as an open nature and collaborative mindset that enables working cohesively with people from different functions and levels.
Display leadership in implementation and drive the team to meet objectives.
