Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure that all activities in the warehouse are carried out safely, efficiently, and timely.
Enforce compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all aspects in the warehouse.
Hire, train, lead, and provide regular feedback to warehouse staff to enable them to carry out their duties with utmost efficiency.
Monitor staff productivity by allocating sufficient resources to meet daily operational requirements, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
Manage staff performance and disciplinary issues in an appropriate manner according to company policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
Liaise with forwarder/buyer/planner/warehouse/program to ensure smooth transactions internally as well as for inbound and outbound shipments.
Ensure data/information in the system is timely and accurately updated.
Maintain proper filing record/system for the purposes of internal or external audit.
Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and implement changes.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
Diploma in logistics or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
Experience Requirement:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands.
Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, kitting, and shipping procedures, as well as inventory control techniques.
Ability to operate MHE such as forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks, and obtain necessary certifications if required.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Analytical mindset with the ability to approach problems and situations with a logical and systematic perspective.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and operational requirements.
Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocols.
Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends, as required by operational needs.
