Major Roles:-Handle system deployments, i.e. install and configure customised system at client's site-Handle second level application support, i.e. answering customer's phone calls and emails on system related issues-Day to day optimising, monitoring and maintenance of systems, including security response and database administration-Emergency response to system outages or failures (possibly during non-working hours)-Provide hands-on training at client site for new system deployments-Setup and manage app and web servers that runs LAMP or WAMP stack, troubleshoot when necessary-Write scripts to monitor and automate processes-Setup and monitor scheduled back upsMinor Roles:-Draft user manual, test script and other system / server support related documents-Assist in performing black-box testing on new systems and liaise with programmers on bug fixes while learning about the systems -Occasionally handles IT desktop support for offices, i.e. troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, operating system, application and networRequirements:-Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.-Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, EnglishSkills:-Relevant hands-on experience and eagerness to learn and try new concepts is more important than having certificates-Familiar with setup of PHP, MySQL and Apache, and their configurations-Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, security, storage and SQL databases-Able to solve problem independently by using internet resources-Basic knowledge in Unix/Linux (with knowledge of shell scripting) is a bonus-Understand the basics of computer hardware and able to troubleshoot hardware related issues-Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Diplomacy and professionalism in working with people via email, phone, and in person.-Programming skill is not required, but at least has the ability to write scripts to automate processesAdditional Notes:-Able to travel within Klang Valley to visit client sites or data centres. Occasionally required to travel around different states of Malaysia to conduct applicaiton / system training.
