Texas Instruments is actively seeking a Tax Accountant to join our team. In this role, the Tax Accountant prepares and completes tax returns and reports involved with federal, state, local, property, sales, and other tax liabilities. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for meeting all required deadlines, maintaining current knowledge of all tax laws affecting the company, reviewing proposals for tax implications, and recommending actions that meet the business plans while managing the tax liability. Additionally, you will assist in tax audits and may be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.
As aTax Accountant, you will be part of a dynamic and energetic team and will play a hybrid role in running the tax planning and compliance activities of the company. Within the entity, you will:
Comply with federal tax filing requirements of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Australia by adhering to requirements; perform tax accounting; calculate estimated tax payments; advise management on required actions; assemble data for monthly and annual indirect tax and corporate income tax filings; and study regulations.
Respond to financial and tax inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
Provide tax advice by studying operational issues; applying taxation principles and practices; formulating tax solutions; developing recommendations.
Work across departmental divisions to determine the best processes are in place across the organization to ensure tax compliance.
Update technical knowledge by keeping current with tax regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Accomplish finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
5 years' experience working experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with business partners, management, and regional teams.
Hands-on and independent with strong analytical, planning, organizing, and leadership skills.
Passion for deep dive data analysis and translating that into insights and recommendations.
Proactive, fast learner, curious, disciplined, strong work ethics, self-motivated, seeks to improve processes, multi-tasking, and performance driven.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
