Excited to work with a well-established taxation services provider under a Bursa listed group? Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Tax Manager to lead our Tax Compliance Team in Kuala Lumpur. This role involves overseeing the delivery of tax compliance services for local SMEs and multinational companies, ensuring timely and accurate submissions while maintaining exceptional service standards. The Tax Manager will also take charge of team operations, provide guidance during tax audits, and enhance internal control systems.about the jobKey ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance and Reporting
Supervise and review the preparation of tax computations and filings to ensure adherence to local tax regulations.
Oversee the preparation and submission of direct tax returns, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines.
Offer expert guidance and support during tax audits, mitigating risks and resolving issues effectively.
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance across all operations.Team Leadership and Operations
Manage, mentor, and guide the Tax Compliance Team to foster a high-performance work environment.
Oversee daily operations to optimize workflows and allocate resources effectively.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify growth opportunities for team members.Internal Controls and Process Enhancement
Establish, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tax-related activities.
Periodically review and update internal controls to reflect regulatory changes and improve efficiency.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tax compliance and service delivery.Client Relationship Management
Develop and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring their tax compliance needs are met to the highest standards.
Provide practical solutions to complex tax-related challenges.Requirements
Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is essential.
At least 5 years of experience in income tax compliance, with proven team management expertise.
Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, compliance processes, and reporting standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in analytical problem-solving.
Proficient in relevant tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
