Purpose of Role
Geography Teacher (KSSM) and English Teacher (IGCSE)
We are looking for a suitably qualified, inspirational, and experienced Geography Teacher and English Teacher with teaching responsibilities to join our forward-thinking and dynamic teaching team.
This position will commence inMarch 2025 .
You will be supported by strong leadership, systems, and an outstanding professional development program.
The ideal candidate is one who is resourceful and innovative in their teaching approach.
You are important in maintaining a high standard of teaching, inspiring the students to be actively interested in the subjects, and continuing to drive up performance.
Key Responsibilities:
To plan and deliver lessons, content, and learning materials that are engaging, aligned with standard curricula, and teaching standards.
Utilize various learning mediums (e.g., digital, visual, experiential learning) to accommodate different student learning preferences.
Inspire and motivate students to strive for excellence and foster their self-directed, independent, lifelong learning abilities.
Assess student performance, grading their work, and designing learning plans within a safe learning environment.
Comply with teaching standards and legal requirements.
Effective communication skills are necessary to adapt teaching styles to student needs and levels, implement behavior management programs, and provide additional support when needed.
Play an active role in the complete development of students, including participation in co-curricular activities.
Attending parent-teacher conferences.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Appropriate degree and teaching qualification e.g.
Bachelor's Degree with teaching qualification, PGDT/Diploma in Education OR relevant degree.
At least two (2) years of teaching experience in teaching the relevant subject in KSSM/IGCSE syllabus.
Strong commitment and passion for education and concern for students' welfare.
PC literate and able to use multimedia resources in the classroom.
Highly motivated, full of initiative, disciplined, and responsible.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in written and verbal English.
A team player and flexible to meet the needs of the school.
