Job Description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and implement programmes for assigned group of preschool students (Eg: Outings, Sports Day and Concert).
Attend to the daily routine of the students within the centre programme i.e.
study time, toileting, refreshment etc.
Prepare all materials required for daily lessons.
Do lessons preparation for online class, If in case couldn't do face to face lesson with students (Eg: During pandemic).
Responsible to check and marking of students' homework and class work.
Prepare refreshments for Kindergarten students on rotation basis.
Attend to parents and students during their arrival and departure from the centre on a rotation basis and as needed.
Supervise students' indoor and outdoor play activities.
Record in the daily log book any changes in daily schedules, any accidents or other occurrences relating to assigned classes, and also to notify Supervisor on such matters immediately.
Institute all disciplinary measures when necessary in the care management of the children and must be consistent with The Salvation Army policies so established.
Feedback to Corps Officers/Kindergarten Supervisor and parents of students' progress.
Feedback to Corps Officers/ Kindergarten Supervisor any suggestions/complaints received from parents for necessary actions.
OTHER DUTIES:
Attend relevant staff training, seminars and conferences as determined by the Corps Officers/Supervisor.
Support and participate in The Salvation Army fund raising events.
Perform any other duties as assigned that are consistent with the position.
Qualifications
Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
Must possess SPM/MCE qualification.
Teaching experiences in a kindergarten will be advantageous.
Have knowledge and teaching experience in Chinese language.
Have knowledge of some musical instrument, if there is any.
