Sri KDU International School Klangis looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our talented, energetic and friendly Primary team inMarch 2025 , to inspire the next generation of leaders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Classroom Support:Assist the class teacher in preparing and organizing classroom materials and resources.
Support the implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Provide support to children with mathematics, reading, and writing on an individual, class, or small group basis.
Support the implementation of classroom rules and routines.
Assist with behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.Student Interaction:Provide individualized attention to students, offering guidance and support as needed.
Assist with student transitions and ensure a safe and orderly environment.
Encourage positive social interactions among students.Assessment and Documentation:Assist in observing and assessing student progress.
Assist with marking and correcting work.
Maintain records of student performance and participation.
Collaborate with the class teacher in documenting achievements and areas for improvement.Communication:Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Collaborate with the class teacher to relay information about student progress and behavior.School Support:Attend meetings and reviews.
Help with school events, trips, and activities.
Participate in duties – lunch/break/before and after school.Qualifications and Training:
Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood / Degree in Education / Master's in Education.
In-house training / CPD will be provided.
Skills and Knowledge:
Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills; proficiency in foreign languages would be advantageous.
Provide curricular clerical/admin support.
Use a variety of activities & instructional methods (songs, stories, art, structured games) to motivate & stimulate children's abilities.
Other Expectations:
Fully and positively participate in the school's performance appraisal scheme to develop and enhance personal and service performance.
Undertake any reasonable duties requested or assigned by SLT, especially regarding the school's administrative function.
Ensure that school policies, including those relating to safeguarding, race equality, code of conduct, and health & safety, are adhered to.
Attend meetings and PD sessions.
Participate in duties – lunch/break/before and after school.
Preferably 3 years working with young learners.
However, fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Good character, caring towards children, responsible, and proactive.
Patient and supportive of the teaching and learning process.
A team player and flexible to meet the needs of the Early Years operational needs.
Proactive and willing to take on multiple tasks.
