Our client is a digital marketing agency, and they are looking for a talented and dynamic Team Lead to lead the creative department.
This role combines creative expertise with project management, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality deliverables across our design team and client projects.
This role is also based remotely, but you are required to be based within KL.
ResponsibilitiesCreative Direction and Leadership:Conceptualise and assign creative tasks and projects to the design team (2–3 members), ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand guidelines.
Train and mentor the design team to enhance their technical skills and creative thinking.
Review all creative output to maintain the highest quality standards.Project Management:Act as the 'traffic manager' by receiving internal briefs from account managers and assigning tasks to the design team, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
Oversee project timelines, task assignments, and workflow to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather project requirements and provide creative solutions.
Manage freelance designers, where necessary, to supplement the team during peak periods.Pitches and Ideation:Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for pitches and proposals.
Develop compelling creative concepts for new business opportunities.
Collaborate with account and strategy teams to present creative proposals to clients.Design and Execution:Develop visually impactful designs for social media, marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, presentations), and other creative assets as needed.
Ensure all designs align with the client's brand identity and target audience.
Create animated videos and multimedia assets that engage and captivate.Communication and Collaboration:Act as the bridge between account managers and the design team, ensuring clear communication of project briefs and client expectations.
Provide feedback and constructive critique to foster a culture of growth within the team.
Maintain strong communication with clients during the creative process to incorporate their feedback effectively.Minimum RequirementsProven experience as a Art Director with a strong portfolio of social media designs, animations, and marketing collateral.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
Strong project management skills, including task assignment, timeline management, and team coordination.
Proficient in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
Proficient with video editing tools such as Adobe Premier Pro.
Proficient with CapCut for TikTok videos.
Exceptional communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
A creative mindset with the ability to balance innovation and practicality.
