1. Debt Collection & Cash Flow Management:Oversee the collections process to ensure overdue accounts are addressed promptly.Engage with clients to resolve payment disputes and negotiate payment plans when necessary.Monitor the aging of receivables and ensure that the DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) is maintained within acceptable limits.Implement strategies to minimize bad debts and ensure efficient cash flow.2. Credit Control Operations:Develop and implement the company's credit control policies, ensuring they align with organizational goals.Assess and review customer creditworthiness by conducting risk assessments, evaluating credit scores, and setting appropriate credit limits.Oversee the credit control processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Review and manage accounts receivable balances, ensuring timely collection and reducing overdue debts.Ensure credit limits and payment terms are properly enforced.Prepare and review aged debtor reports and implement action plans to address overdue accounts.Manage credit risk by conducting credit checks, setting credit terms, and managing customer payment plans.3. Team Leadership & Management:Lead, manage, and mentor the Credit Control team, ensuring they meet KPIs and collection targets.Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop training programs to enhance team performance.Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.4. Stakeholder Management:Act as the key point of contact for internal teams (e.g., sales, customer service) and external clients regarding credit control matters.Handle escalations related to customer payments, disputes, and credit control issues.Work closely across Finance departments to ensure alignment between billing and collection activities.5. Process Improvement:Continuously review and optimize credit control procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Implement and utilize systems and technology to improve the collections process, reporting, and customer interactions.Proactively identify and mitigate risks to the credit control function.6. Reporting & Analysis:Prepare regular reports on key credit control metrics, including DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), bad debt, collection efficiency, and customer payment behaviors.Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.7. Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure all credit control activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.Work with the legal team to manage collections of overdue accounts, including initiating legal action when necessary.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 6-8 years of experience incredit control & collections , accounts receivable, with at least 2-3 years in asupervisory or team leadcapacity.Experience working in ashared services/ Global MNCenvironment.Professional certification in credit management (e.g., CICM) would be an advantage.Strong understanding ofcredit control processes, & collections with cash flow management, and financial risk .Proficiency in using financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel for reporting and analysis.Strong Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.About the Company:One of the top Global MNCs offering a comprehensive Total Rewards Program including performance-based bonuses, flexible benefits, and competitive compensation.
