Technical Delivery Manager

As a dedicated Technical Delivery Manager with expertise in data projects, you will lead the successful execution and delivery of our data initiatives.
You will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data and platform engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of data projects.
Your position is key to orchestrating the planning, execution, and management of upcoming data projects and driving towards completion.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Execution:
Establish understanding on underlying challenges & requirements, collaborate with Product team & other stakeholders, lead in solutioning and dimensioning out the solution architecture, define project objectives, scope, and deliverables for data-led or wider PayNet projects.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and dependencies.
Monitor project progress, identify potential challenges, and take proactive measures to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
Provide guidance to a multidisciplinary team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Resource Management:
Efficiently allocate and manage data project resources, ensuring the right skills and expertise are available to meet project requirements.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for data project stakeholders, maintaining effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Drive project status meetings, reviews, and reporting.
Identify and assess risks specific to data projects and develop strategies for mitigation, ensuring overall project progress health and if necessary, work with respective parties to ensure workarounds are in place without unnecessarily jeopardizing progress and timeline.
Ensure data projects adhere to data privacy and security regulations and best practices.
Cost Control, Documentation, and Reporting:
Optimize spending to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data project requirements, specifications, and change requests leveraging on Wiki's.
Generate regular data project reports and updates for management and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering).
Proven experience as a Technical Delivery Manager or in a similar role, with a strong focus on data projects.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in the context of data project management.
Leadership and team management abilities, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve project goals.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.
Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or data-related fields are advantageous.
Excellent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
