Position: Technical Engineer for Tracking and MCPTT Products (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
We are looking for a development-oriented and proactive Technical Engineer team member to join Tramigo's team in Kuala Lumpur. This new role is a great fit for you if you're open-minded, passionate about learning new technologies, and eager to grow professionally. Tramigo offers you versatile responsibilities, experienced colleagues to mentor you, and the opportunity to contribute to the company's ongoing development.
In this role within Tramigo's fast-growing organization, your responsibilities will involve supporting customers with both our tracking and fleet management solutions as well as our MCPTT (Mission-Critical Push-To-Talk) products. You'll also take part in the practical development of our offerings by providing feedback. Tramigo operates globally, so most communication will take place in English.
In this position, we highly value your ability to work independently, problem-solve, and show a can-do attitude. Our small, experienced team will support you, but being able to manage your own performance is crucial for success in this position.
Key responsibilities you will be trained for:
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding tracking/fleet management systems and MCPTT solutions, including hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Communicate support issues and resolutions effectively to staff and customers.
• Perform hardware and software installations, testing, configurations, and updates for both tracking and MCPTT products.
• Attend to meetings, calls, and email/chat support related to customer queries.
• Gather and convey feedback from customers to help in the ongoing improvement of the products.
• Utilize knowledge of relevant software, hardware, and common procedures to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
We expect from you:
• Interest in working in a global, fast-growing environment with a learning-oriented mindset—you're eager to grow alongside Tramigo.
• A responsible, fast-learner, and goal-oriented individual who is committed to the success of the team.
• Prepared to tackle new challenges and develop yourself in both tracking/fleet management and MCPTT solutions.
• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Business IT, or a similar field.
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical and electronic systems is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for utilizing technology to enhance business operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Must possess your own transport.
Additional assets:
• Previous experience with Odoo or other ERP systems.
• Experience in customer contact and support roles.
• Additional language skills, e.g., Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese, etc would be a plus.
• Knowledge of mission-critical communication technologies (MCPTT) is a plus but not required—you'll learn with us!
