SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
We're seeking a Technical Support Assistant Manager who will provide expert technical advice regionally on the practical execution of any given project(s) within the Powder coatings segment and on specifically identified key projects. This can be done by planning and monitoring activities to ensure the coating specification is met, and the job is completed according to contract, customer's and Jotun's satisfaction.
This position will report directly to Regional Technical Services and Support Manager - Powder, and will be based in Shah Alam, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
Act as concept specialist regionally by interacting with customers and stakeholders, sharing information, and advising to ensure that the customer has received all necessary information concerning the application of products.
Train internal and external applicators by holding practical and theoretical sessions and demonstrations in order to ensure that the applicators are approved in applying the relevant products.
Carry out complaint surveys by conducting inspections relevant to the complaint in order to compile an accurate, detailed report to support the investigation phase of the complaint process.
Share learning and knowledge from complaint cases by documenting corrective actions taken and their effects, in order to limit the occurrence of the claim and Jotun's risk exposure.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience required.
Preferably have experience and knowledge in Technical or R&D.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Ability to travel within the region when required.
Good communication in English and Chinese both reading and speaking.
