POSITION:TECHNICIAN
RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform day-to-day plant operations, including equipment maintenance, service, and calibration.
Coordinate maintenance schedule of plant equipment.
Data logging on equipment operation and chemicals/consumables consumption.
Water samples collection as per work instruction.
Perform routine and non-routine tasks in accordance with the operational requirements at site.
Good housekeeping and maintain work environment in clean and tidy condition.
Carry out all duties in accordance with statutory Health and Safety Regulations and all local bodies.
Work on shift, weekends, and public holidays.
REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge of applicable regulations and safety protocols.
Previous experience in water treatment role.
Proficiency in operating water treatment equipment.
Possession of valid certification or license, e.g., CePIETSO will be advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Highly disciplined with time punctuality.
Able to work on shift, weekends, and public holidays.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment in water treatment system, e.g., pumps.
Calibrate instruments in water treatment system.
Assist engineers to attend to ad-hoc service and maintenance job at site.
Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Install equipment, instruments as per drawing/instruction given.
Assemble, install, and repair pipe components and systems according to specifications.
Examine completed welds to ensure they are free of defects, smooth, and functional.
Work as per SOP of work site.
Observe safety regulations.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to read and interpret schematics, sketches, parts lists, and component layout diagrams.
Ability to read and understand isometric drawings, fabrication drawings.
Familiarity with all materials used to perform job functions.
Ability to work on multiple assignments under pressure while maintaining accuracy is crucial.
Knowledge/experience in PVC pipe welding, steel welding is advantageous.
Knowledge and experience with welding equipment and processes.
Ability to troubleshoot and strong attention to detail.
Certification on welding and/or PVC pipe welding is an advantage.
