As aTechniciansupportingFinishing Engineering , you will be trusted to execute planned preventive maintenance in a timely manner and respond to any unplanned equipment downtime to ensure overall operations safety, product quality, and machine performance are kept at the highest standards at Johor. In this role, a typical day will include:
Operation:
Execute efficient and effective PM activities to keep the instruments/equipment in good condition and ensure no overdue PM.
Maintain all instruments/equipment related to Finishing Engineering, Production, Lab, and QC to minimize downtime and the number of NCRs. Provide engineering support to other functions as required.
Ensure correct SOPs and forms are used to perform planned activities. Maintain good GDP of documentation. Ensure updated release documents are used for PM activities and remain in a validated state.
Ensure all PM records are properly recorded and kept. Provide 24/7 support to production.
Actively participate in cost reduction, cost saving, machine set-up, and improve efficiency of PM and machine repair times.
Promote effective communication with peers across all shifts and ensure efficient shift hand-over and effective start-up meetings.
Support the investigation of process and quality failures resulting from equipment/process-related problems and provide permanent solutions.
Ensure full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conduct, Alcon Values & Behaviors, and Alcon Health Safety and Environment Standards.
Maintain all equipment in Finishing Engineering at minimum downtime.
Complete tasks assigned by superiors or managers on time or earlier than given timelines.
Participate in business development such as new project initiatives by actively participating as project lead, project support, or project executor.
General:
Establish and ensure SOPs and documentation comply with OSHA, ISO 13485, GxP, and US regulations. Ensure updated release documents are changed, reviewed, and approved before implementation of validation and remain in a validated state.
Promote effective communication with associates across all shifts and ensure efficient shift hand-over and effective start-up meetings. Motivate and cultivate a positive mindset and ethics among department associates and optimize individual performance for the company.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
Education: Diploma in Engineering or Certificate in Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing.
Experience in a medical devices environment is preferred.
Must be proficient in troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
