Title: Technician III - Industrial EngineeringPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Industrial Engineering Technician will assist the Engineers in developing efficient systems that integrate materials, energy, information, personnel, and machinery. They engage in statistical production studies and time assessments, as well as prepare and update the site and project layouts under the guidance of the industrial engineer and/or manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Time Study:Assist in the preparation of time studies and time estimation.
Layout:Update the site layout and project layouts, as directed by industrial engineer, manager, and director.
Takt Time Analysis:Assist in the preparation of takt time analysis and calculations.
Project Management:Support on the line relocation, installation, and setup.
Workstation, rack, trolley, and small tools maintenance:Support production workstation, rack, trolley & tools installation, maintenance, and modification.
5S Implementation:Apply 5S principles to support line setup, wire management, and floor tape management while performing line setup and tools installation.
KPI Management:Support key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans accordingly.
Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies, and general duty of care.
Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business, and other technology including materials.
Other duties assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of line setup, wire management, workstation, and trolley design.
Basic English ability, with reading ability preferred.
Ability to perform time studies and time estimation.
Ability to work independently and creatively.
Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.
Good computational and technical skills.
Good communication ability and teamwork.
Software tools required: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
EDUCATION:
Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
