As aTechnician IIIsupportingProcess Quality Improvementteam, you will be trusted to focus on designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods.Calibration Functions
Perform in-house calibration activities and escort vendor for on-site calibration activities to ensure equipment are calibrated based on schedule to avoid overdue calibrations.
Ensure on-time submission of calibration datasheet, service report and other calibration documents after performed calibration.
Ensure all related calibration activities are met and performed calibration in accordance to SOP.
Assist engineer for calibration OOT investigation and SOP changes.
Handle calibration standards/master equipment used for routine calibration jobs with care to ensure available, traceable and in good condition.
Monitor and update all calibration records and calibration stickers for all equipment.
Support for packaging of out-source calibration items and other shipment documentation.
Process Quality Improvement Functions
Identify process improvement opportunities at Finishing production area and provide effective plans to execute them.
Lead the investigation of any process and quality failure resulting from equipment/process related problem and assist engineers to close NCR and CAPA's.
Technical writer for NC investigation for engineering related task and follow up closely with multi cross-functional team within the expected timeline.
Thoroughly investigate quality issues at the lens manufacturing process and provide permanent solution/CAPA for them.
Ensure the implementation of CAPA is effective by evaluating the effectiveness from time to time.
Study and analyze lens quality trending, recurring deviations and customer complaints to provide preventive solutions for persistent quality issues.
Essential Functions
Establish and ensure SOPs and documentation are compliant with OSHA, ISO 13485, GxP, and US regulations.
Adhere to Alcon values & standards, observe and ensure full compliance to Alcon Code of Business Conducts and Alcon Health, Safety and Environment Standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
Diploma in Science, Engineering or Manufacturing field.
Certificate in Calibration, Science or Engineering field with at least 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
