The Test Technician performs engineering work. Work at this level is not complex. Some wide variety of complex technical tasks will have engineer's instructions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments.
Performs unit tests to support production schedule.
Conducts semi-routine engineering and detailed experimental tests.
Keeps detailed and accurate logs on all assigned activities.
Participates in yield and continuous improvement actions.
Helps to control SPC and GR&R.
Assists engineers in the design, development, construction, and evaluation of test fixtures and equipment.
Understands, sustains, and maintains the test program, maintaining the test equipment system with Test Engineer support.
Adheres to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies, and general duty of care.
Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering lab environment.
Completes many repetitive tasks that include the use of electronic equipment.
Operates sampling and real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures.
Works under direct supervision and receives support from engineers to understand new tasks.
Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read electronic schematics.
Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.
Good communication skills and teamwork.
Knowledge of testing instruments, such as Digital Scope, DMM, Generator, computer, etc.
Basic English reading ability is preferred.
Good computational and technical skills.
Ability to work independently and be creative.
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3-5 years of experience.
Basic English knowledge.
ESD knowledge.
5S knowledge.
Knowledge of product test procedures.
EDUCATION:
Technical school or high school level in a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
