Terminal Counter Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Ensure bus ticketing counter operations run smoothly, and all staff adhere to schedules and assigned roles.
Plan for peak times and non-peak operations, ensuring that manpower is distributed efficiently.
Track key performance metrics such as the daily number of tickets sold, kiosk usage rates, operational costs (electricity, cleaning, etc.), and passenger flow.
Build strong working relationships with Terminal Authorities, Bus Operators, local city council, customers and tenants to ensure prompt response to their complaints, suggestions, opinions and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Ensure backend systems are updated, kiosk and auto gate systems function seamlessly. Reporting to IT for any issues.
Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Monitor employee performance and address issues in real-time (e.g., tardiness or customer complaints).
Regularly check and update inventory records for terminal hardware (e.g., kiosks, auto gates, computers). Manage all warranty and service contracts for terminal devices.
Ensure relevant Insurance Policies such as Fire, Burglary, Cash-in-Transit, Public Liabilities & Professional Indemnity are valid at all times.
Ensure timely renewals of licenses, permits and service contracts.
Responsible for identifying and drawing-up specifications, obtaining quotations for materials, preparing summary and recommending contractors and suppliers.
Preparation of preventive maintenance schedules for all M&E installations, CCTV, Card Access system, etc.
Monitor and implement proper management systems, i.e. petty cash control, credit control, vetting of payment invoices, summary of counter collections & issuance of official receipts, banking of collections, management of delinquent accounts, issuance of reminders/collection notice.
To submit monthly management & maintenance progress reports.
Requirements:
Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in bus terminal/building management preferred.
Proficient in IT and tech savvy.
Demonstrating integrity and sense of responsibility, leading to a more efficient and productive work environment.
Fast learner, attention to details with excellent analytical skills for costing, budget development and strategic planning.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
