Tool Designer (Sheet Metal)

Knowledgeable of sheet metal tool design- Responsible for product, strip layout and tool design to meet requirements- Design tooling based on customer requirements- Participate in projects with regards to new product development and introduction- Work closely with vendors and suppliers and handle all tooling related materials and component research and procurement. Comprehensive knowledge of tool steel selection and die components- Develop innovative design solutions to maximize efficiency- Provides engineering consultation on manufacturing processes, possible tooling and gaging requirements, and cost/delivery analysis- Modify existing tool designs and document changes- Provide tool design engineering support to insure cost effective production of products- Maintain a high level of technical tooling and fixture knowledge- Conducts field investigations as needed to verify existing conditions- Perform CAD Conversion- ECR / ECN Procedures- Participant in DFM discussion**Job Requirements**:- Analytical thinker, detail oriented- Self-motivated, ambitious to resolve challenges- Excellent team composure and ability to take direction from various teams- Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or certificate in "Tool & Die Design"- At least 2 years in Tool Design- Experience with DFM**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent**Salary**: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Additional leave- Opportunities for promotion- Parental leave- Professional developmentSchedule:- Day shift- Fixed shiftSupplemental pay types:- Overtime pay- Yearly bonusApplication Question(s):- How much notice are you required to give your current employer?
