Job DescriptionResponsibilities
Attend the site of loss to gather evidence and assess the damage
Interview the policyholder and witnesses to validate the claim
Consult third-party experts such as forensic scientists, consulting engineers or building surveyors to determine the cause of a loss and extent of damage
Advise insurance companies and policyholders about repair issues
Write reports for insurance companies including recommending appropriate settlements
Negotiate and resolve claim disputes
Advise policyholders and insurance companies on precautionary measures to reduce the risk of further losses in future.
Job RequirementsRequirements
A diploma or degree in any discipline
A degree in laws or engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Quantity Survey) or knowledge of insurance would be an added advantage
Strong written and communication skills in English
